Animal Ag Impact on Our Climate Crisis

We had a great turnout for this talk last Tuesday at the UU potluck. We had a lively discussion and feedback was tremendous.

Eating animals, especially cows, sheep, and goats has about the same impact on our planet’s health as chain-smoking cigarettes does for human health. Put simply, the impact of our current beef diet on the planet has been to destroy 40% of rain forests or our lung capacity for absorbing excess CO2. Under a business-as-usual rate, the impact nearly doubles by 2050, leaving only 20% of our earth’s lung capacity.

We have to educate ourselves on the facts and get the facts to others. This slide deck should help!
